The City shall continue to implement the Inclusionary Housing Ordinance, but shall modify the ordinance, if necessary, based on the findings of the Inclusionary Housing Ordinance Review and Affordable Unit In-lieu Fee/Nexus Study.
Informed by the results of a Residential Nexus and Feasibility Study, in January 2015, the City Council adopted an Affordable Housing Ordinance (AHO). The Affordable Housing Ordinance was updated in 2017 and now applies to all residential development proposals of two units or more and provides more flexibility to the developers with respect to the means of compliance with those requirements.
